I am a retired firefighter from the Akron/Cleveland Ohio area. I was diagnosed with cancer (NHL) in 2003. They pinpointed it to a chemical fire that I was in back in 1988.
I am now trying to fundraise for cancer awareness and to find a cure for this stuff. The attempt is on a record breaking try to collect the most DONATED patch collection ever collected along with corresponding letters.
The entire collection once the record is broken will be put up for auction for cancer research. Yhe proceeds will be donated to the ACS and the LLS to find a cure. This attempt is also a cancer awwareness attempt for all Firefighters to waer SCBA's during and after the fire, yes, even on overhauling tasks.
For more information you can write to Scott Dillon PO BOX 292 Munroe Falls,.Ohio 44262 or call 330-310-1641.or freshhopeforacure@yahoo.com
I need about 800 patches to break the record. The fowowing attachments are informational flyers that I send out to various departments from around the world.
