As a result of apparently a single incident in Oregon  HR 5537 http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-5537 is moving through Congress.

Has anybody eliminated or changed the way they handle "paid for call" volunteers?
Has anybody simply changed their policy manuals to better define the status of these volunteers?

As someone who made most of his income for over 40 years as an independent contractor I think the Oregon case is a fluke and should be ignored.

I do encourage everyone to write or call and make sure the bill passes.
