Now in my post I am a Sergeant and before any explorer they are required to be "checked off" on each an engine and the tower and if they are a first responder they must know the medic truck. What bout you how well so you know your truck can you tell what's on it from memory.

my first exercise at the station was the monthly equipment check. I was put in charge of 62 (one of our engines, and a senior member watched over me) i found it VERY helpful, and im pretty confident if i was told to go get something i could find it rather easily
The rescue and engines (which are identical) I know pretty well, but there is room for improvement. I get maybe a few calls a week on one or the other. The tower, not too many calls on it in a year, I am rusty I bet. Now my ambulance at my full-time job, I know that inside and out, but I work out of it over 2000 hours a year, and do probably 200 unit check/yr. on it, so that's to be expected.
