How to Pre-Plan Hybrid Car Emergency Responses
Do you think we might have some issues with emergency response and hybrid vehicles?
February 3, 2010: Toyota drivers in the UK and the US are advised by lawyers to stop driving their cars.
The carmarker suffers a fresh blow when it emerges that it has been ordered by the Japanese Government to investigate claims of brake system failures on its newest model of Prius hybrid.

Do you have pre-plans on board your engine, pre-planning response to the new hybrid cars? Think about it, you pre-plan structures, why not vehicles? The cars today have become much more complicated to deal with in the event of an incident where the fuel source is compromised or their are extrication issues to deal with.
The Los Angeles City Fire Department has identified this as an issue that needed more information for the company officers dealing with assessment and tactical decisions to resolve the incident and protect both emergency responders and the public.

What I found totally cool was the fact that you can download and print out the PDF files, placing them into plastic sheet covers inside a notebook called Vehicle Pre-Plans...

We just had a training on hybrid vehicles the other night, and the demo was the ford escape. It's nice to have something right there in front of you to look at.
