I thought I would stat a discussion on how many Firefighters that lived up North, have moved to the South. It seems everytime I go out on a rally, or just visit other fire houses here in the South, I find someone who has moved down here to the South to either retire, or
to just get away from the Big City life style. I moved down here three years ago, and I will tell you, I love it here. Living in the fast lane for me was getting a little to much for me, and now that I am in the South, I have slowed down, and started to enjoy all of the wonderful things in life to enjoy. Very rarely do I see traffic jams, or get stuck in traffic. As far as the winter, and the cold weather, the winters here are much shorter then up North. We still have winter here, and we still get snow, but it dosen't last very long. The one thing I would like to say, is the Southern Hospitality is wonderful. Everyone down here waves to you, even if they don't know you. It was a culture shock for me at first, but I am loving every bit of it now.
Well enough said for now from me. Who else out their has a story to share.
