BALTIMORE - Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found after a fire in northeast Baltimore as a homicide.
The blaze was reported about 2:25 a.m. Thursday in the Dutch Village apartments. Fire spokesman Chief Kevin Cartwright says firefighters arrived to find heavy fire and smoke coming from a two-story town house.
The man's body was found on the second floor; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cartwright says two adjacent dwellings were damaged by the blaze and their residents were displaced. There were no other injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
