Man I'm just a volly but I will try to help ya out. First off, congrats on being in the explorer program. That's getting your foot in the door. I don't know where the fire serivce will be in the future but as long as man is around you will always need fire/EMS, police, and healthcare people. Some colleges that I have heard about is Texas A&M, and one in Maryland that have excellent courses in fire science. Like you, my math isn't the greatest. All I can suggest is to take the classes to be a firefighter first and see if that is what you really want to do. Then get some experience under your belt. After that you should have a pretty good idea of how fire acts and spreads and starts. Then take the investigator classes and go from there.

I hope this helps ya. Maybe someone can add something for you that I missed.

Good luck and stay safe man!!!
