I was looking for a Extrication/Fire approved glove when I came across the set made by Blaze Fighter.  I was just wondering if anyone has anything to say about them good or bad.  And thoughts on the gauntlet or long knit style cuffs, which one is preferred?  Let me know.

Read the article on firehouse.com in regards to FDNY firefighters being injured by this brand of glove. My department purchased these gloves and right off we had guys complaining of the heat coming in through the material. We had our vender send the gloves back for testing. We didnt get the original gloves back. The company sent us a different glove. Still the heat is getting through. Now from the article on firehouse.com about the FDNY issue. It turns out that glove corp who makes these gloves has shuttered their plant in Ark. So I guess my advise would be to refrain from buying these gloves.
The gloves were great untill the company ( glove corp ) that makes the gloves switched the thermal filler from cotton to polyester without doing new tests. when complaints started coming in they complience tested their gloves again and found that they didnt meet standards. check your blaze gloves for lot #'s 12109 through 12310 and manufacture dates of 12/2009 through 12/2010. If you do have defective gloves again the company shuttered up. so you are S.O.L. And I would advise to just replace them. Stay safe, and have a good one.
