Just lookin for a good work out routine......

 

I've been workin out for about five months now...Everday twice a day....And I have pretty much a set routine but I feel like I'm not doing enough....

 

This is what I do at this point and time

 

stretching:

     Toe touches (sitting and standing)

      Butterfly

      Arm stretches (sorry dont know the actual names)  over the head and from side to side

      Hip rotations

      Leg raises (layin on the floor)

Then it's just kind of all over the place...

       Squat thrusts

       Push up

       Mountain Climbers

       Crunches

       I do several reps with 5 IB weights (Its all I have avaible to me)

       (It probably has no value) but I use the wii and run 1.5 miles

(in the fall and spring I did/will do a 5.1 mile walk then a 1 mile jog/run (along my uncles property line) then I rest for about 20 minutes then walk another 5.1 miles back to my house)

       ( On the wii) I also do the areobic stair stepper

 

Just wonderin if anyone could give me ideas of other things to add... Or things to take out....

Hi Im a athletic trainer and work on training the guys and gals for Scottsdale Fire Department, would be more than happy to give you updated routines. Sounds like you need alot more strength training. If you only have 5 lbs available you need to have your department look into TRX. Developed for militarty so they can stay strong and lean with minimal equipment. email is prozonetraining@aol.com
