NORCROSS, Ga. - A woman has died after fire fighters pulled her from her burning apartment in Norcross.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that the 44-year-old woman died at a Gwinnett County hospital shortly after she was removed from her burning apartment at the Barrington Hills Apartments.

Fire officials said the fire was reported at about 5 p.m. Saturday and was brought under control by 6:30 p.m.

The woman's name was not released.

Gwinnett County Fire Department officials said the blaze cause extensive damage to the woman's apartment, but did not spread to other units.
