WOODSTOCK, Ga. - Three Cherokee County firefighters were sent to the hospital after suffering burns while battling a house fire.


The fire started around 9 p.m. Sunday near Woodstock. The three firefighters were taken to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Fire department spokesman Tim Cavender tells WSB radio that all three are expected to recover.

Authorities say the fire seems to have started in chimney of the home. All four people who lived in the home escaped without injuries.
