PITTSBURGH - Police say a gas well in a wooded area of western Pennsylvania has exploded, killing two people.
The blast happened Friday at around 9:50 a.m. in a remote are of Indiana Township, about 15 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
The Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission says the well is owned by Huntley & Huntley. A company spokeswoman confirmed their workers had arrived on scene but said she had no further information.
Police say the well is still burning.
