One person is missing and two others injured when fire destroys several units of a Cherokee County condominium complex.
Cherokee fire spokesman Tim Cavender said the fire broke out about 4 a.m. Wednesday in the Arrowhead community near Waleska and eight units in two buildings were fully involved when firefighters arrived.
He said a 57-year-old woman was taken to Northside Cherokee Hospital with first- and second-degree burns and a 34-yuear-old man was airlifted to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta with third-degree burns and a possible broken ankle after jumping from his condo with his 6-year-old daughter, who was not injured.
He said the cause of the fire has not been determined.
