ST. LOUIS - Four St. Louis firefighters are on sick leave after being slightly injured when a floor collapsed during a house fire.


Officials say the firefighters injured in the blaze early Tuesday. They were treated at a hospital for shoulder and neck injuries as well as minor burns and were later released.

Fire Capt. Mike Pickett says two firefighters were on the second floor when that floor collapsed, sending them falling 18 to 20 feet onto colleagues.

The cause of the fire was being investigated.
