OWENSBORO, Ky. - Owensboro police say two children and two adults have died in a house fire that was still blazing nearly two hours after being reported.

Sgt. Scott Steward told The Associated Press the fire started just before 9 a.m. CDT Friday in the rear of the home and was still burning just before 11 a.m. CDT.

The identities of the dead and the cause of the fire were unknown.

Kentucky State Fire Marshal William Swope Jr. said his office had someone at the scene, but had no details about the blaze.
