For public hearing of Gas pipeline, they should invite fire fighters too!

“For public hearing for proposed gas pipelines in general, gas companies submitting an affidavit that proper notice had been given to the lawful owners of all the structures intended for human occupancy within 100 feet of the proposed pipeline.”
Why hundred feet only? Is this matching with full fledge explosion radius? Why not one mile radius minimum and local news paper needed to be informed for such a critical safety issue and public awareness?
If there is no public in Public hearing they are wasting time and money and loosing great opportunity of making public aware of how pipeline works. They should also publish after meeting notes about who were present and there should be minimum % of stakholder required to be present for validity of the public hearing. They should invite fire fighters too! And Press!

If they invited Firefighters and the Press they know full well they would have questions asked that they had no answer for.  "Big Oil/Gas" wants every one to just let them get on making money anyway they want - butt out, stop interfering with the Power of Profit.
