Florida Mom Tries To Save Toddler In Fire
MIMS, Fla. - Brevard County authorities say a central Florida woman is seriously injured and her toddler dead after a fire engulfed their mobile home.
Orlando Dominguez, a spokesman for Brevard County Fire-Rescue, says the mother told firefighters she couldn't get her child out of the burning home.
Rescuers entered the home but were unable to save the 2-year-old boy.
Thirty-two-year-old April Reid was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in serious condition. Another child, a 4-year-old boy, escaped the fire unharmed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
