Authorities say a woman driving a commercial riding lawnmower died after she was hit by a semitrailer.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says the truck, owned by Pepin Distributors, rear-ended the lawnmower Monday morning. The lawnmower caught fire and the operator, identified as 36-year-old Isabel Ojeda Ramos, died at the scene. The truck also caught fire, but its driver was not injured.

Authorities are investigating whether the lawnmower was in the roadway or pulled out in front of the truck.
