firefighters supporting a cure for autism

I was wondering how many of my fellow brothers and sisters would help in finding a cure for autism? A child wery close to me suffers with autism he is a wonderful child. He cant talk to tell me whats wrong. He gets upset when his daily routine get side tracked. His world is in peices when his favorite toy gets misplaced. This is not one day in his life this is everyday and it kills me inside with your support you can help by spreading the word go to www.autismspeaks.com to see what im talking about and to find out how you can help.

thanks mike how do your fire department do a fundrasier??? my fire department is alot of political B S that keeps me from doing one i have a few firefighters that want to help but our fire department wont let use..

If you're that enthusiastic about doing a fundraiser for help finding a cure, leave the fire dept out of it, if there's a lot of political issues, and go on your own. Or start your own local group of parents with children with autism, then as a group get together and come up with ideas for fundraisers. I'm involved in that myself, in which we invlove various special needs. You would be surprised at what you can accomplish as a group.
