TUCSON, Ariz. - Emergency officials who went to the scene of the shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and 18 others are talking about their response one week after the rampage in Arizona.

First responders from the Northwest Fire District Pima County Arizona at a Northwest Fire District station are introduced by Capt. Adam Goldberg, front at podium, during a press briefing Saturday, Jan. 15, 2011, in Tucson, Ariz. They all tended to gunshot victims at the mass shooting where Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Ariz., who is still in critical condition, was one of 19 victims shot on Saturday, six fatally.

The emergency responders discussed their actions in detail Saturday. As they did, the Arizona grocery store where Giffords was shot was busy with some of its first customers since the tragedy.

Giffords was at the store a week ago, holding an event to meet with constituents when police say a gunman opened fired.

Giffords was shot through the head and rushed to the hospital, but doctors say her recovery is progressing.

Authorities say 22-year-old Jared Loughner was targeting Giffords. He is in custody, accused of trying to assassinate the congresswoman and killing a federal judge.
