COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Authorities have given the "all clear" at the University of Maryland in College Park for the suspicious package found earlier. The item was found to be "non-explosive."
Paul Dillon, a spokesman for the university's department of public safety, says the building was evacuated at about 1 p.m. Wednesday, after a suspicious package was found outside the library.
Dillon says the Prince George's County fire department investigated the package

"Firefighters" have no business "investigating" suspicious packages....Leave that to Bomb Squad members who are trained to handle those situations...Firefighters should stand by in case of an explosion or fire and maybe help with crowd control.....Its like a dog chasing a car...What the hell would he do if he caught it...?...Sure as hell can't drive it....and what would a Firefighter do if it was a device...?? Stay safe...Use your head...Keep the Faith....Paul
