(AP) MAPLE VALLEY, Wash.

A firefighter and a resident of a home have been injured in a two-alarm house fire in Maple Valley.

KOMO-TV and KOMO radio report the injuries are not life-threatening. The resident had burns to the hands. Part of the roof collapsed on the firefighter.

The fire broke out about 7 a.m. Monday on the back deck of the home, and flames spread up the two-story house to the roof.
