Dunn, whose father was Chief of the Bland County Volunteer Fire Department, had been a firefighter for five years. According to his profile on Firefighter Nation, he was also a member of the Bland County Rescue Squad for the last three years.

"[I] joined the fire department at the age of 16. My dad was chief of the fire department for many years prior to me joining," Dunn wrote in his FirefighterNation.com profile, where other members are now beginning to post condolence messages.

Dunn listed his day job as a Sheet Metal Fabricator.

"Justin Dunn was a great firefighter and rescue squad worker," a local firefighter and FFN member wrote relaying news of the accident. "He was always ready to respond at a moments notice. Please pray for his family and our fire departments."

Rest in Peace brother
God Bless and God Speed Brother. My sincere sympathy goes out to your family and Department. You will be missed. Rest In Peace Justin.
RIP Brother.
I send my condolences to the Dunn family and the Bland Fire and rescue Companies.
WC- Is there a respectful way to change a members profile on FFN so s they're still listed but obviously recognised or identified as being passed away.

It'd potentially also stop other members unaware of the situation posting untowards comments or making friend requests on that persons profile, etc.
Our thoughs and prayers are with the family and friends in your time of grief.

May your memories bring you comfort.
My sincere sympathy to Justins family and department family. May the love that you've shared, the memories that you hold, guide you through the next days, weeks and months. RIP Justin. You clearly were a wonderful man. God Bless.
This is sad... My thoughts and prayers go out the the fire fighter from Crowley County Ambulance Service of Ordway Colorado
I agree, it would be a nice way to have a memorial to our fallen brothers and sisters. Possibly create a memorial section and transfer the necessary profiles to that section vs having them listed as an active member -
It would also be nice to be able to light a candle in their memory.

Just a thought
From the McEwen, Tn Firefighters, We would like to give our sympathy to the Dunn Family and the Bland County Fire Dept.in there loss . R I P FF Dunn .
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and to the Bland Fire and Rescue Departments.
Actually have gotten a few emails suggesting the same thing this morning along the lines of a FFN Member Memorial Page... Ill add it to the plans for the expanded site this Spring and Summer. Unfortunately, there's no way to manually put something in their profile but I'll check with the developers.

Dave
