Hey guys, and gals!
I'm fixing to be moving from Mississippi to Kentucky. If there is anybody out there that can give me info on kentucky laws for volunteer firefighter, red light laws, transferring certification from state to state....etc... I tried to find the state fire academy for kentucky on the internet but no luck.
I will be moving to the Louisville Metro area. Here's a list of the dept.'s i'm considering, if you have any knowledge of pro's or cons for these dept.'s please let me know. Any info would be appreciated.

My top three choices are:
#1 Anchorage Fire and EMS
#2 Pleasure Ridge Park Fire Dept.
#3 Jeffersontown Fire Dept.
BUECHEL FIRE
DIXIE SOUTHERN FIRE
EASTWOOD FIRE
FERN CREEK FIRE
HARROD'S CREEK FIRE
HIGHVIEW FIRE
LAKE DREAMLAND FIRE
McMAHAN FIRE
#5 MIDDLETOWN FIRE
#4 OKOLONA FIRE
#6 LYNDON FIRE
PEEWEE VALLEY FIRE
SHIVELY FIRE
ST. MATTHEWS FIRE
WORTHINGTON FIRE

Ky. volunteers run red and white lights and u must run a siren if u run lights. But the chief can also say no lights and sirens on your pov. As far as the transfering your cert's I dont know. And have no ideal about these dept's but that is only about 1 hour north of me
There all are great fire depts and they all make a bunch of runs. And as far ad your certs i believe you have to get your certs now nationalized. And you do run red lights and sirens in Ky. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the info
I think i've narrowed it down to Anchorage Fire And EMS. Thanks for all the help
