Fire Strikes 100-Year Old Massachusetts Greenhouse Complex

SUDBURY, Mass. - A fire has erupted at a 100-year-old Massachusetts greenhouse operation.

Firefighters say the blaze was reported early Tuesday at the Cavicchio (kuh-VIK'-ee-oh) Greenhouses wholesale company in Sudbury, a town of about 18,000 residents just west of Boston. They say no injuries have been reported.

Cavicchio Greenhouses Inc. provides landscaping supplies and plant materials such as flowers, grasses and herbs to New England businesses including garden centers, golf courses and landscape architects. Its website says the family owned business was founded in 1910 and features a 200-acre farm of rotating crops.

The cause of the fire hasn't been identified.
