Hey all. I started this discussion because my department is currently building a new station. It's being built in two stages since it is going on the same lot. We have completed the first half and are about to demolish the current station we are in and finish building the new station. I was wondering if any of you have idea's on how your department or other departments have celebrated the time in one station and moved to a new one. We were thinking of having one big city party in the old station before she go's. Just wondering if anyone had ideas that we could use to remember the 60 years spent in our current building. Thanks. Attached is a picture of our old station which has been in operation since 1950

I've been through that, we hardly did anything apart from the official opening. There wasn't a lot of good feeling in that Brigade at the time... But at least good photos of the old Station were kept.

I'd go for the open house thing, invite the public in. And definitely keep a good set of photos of the ols Station, keep them on display, not in a cupboard!
