Ok you get issued a number when you join your department of course the chief is usually 101 asst. 102 and so forth 101-109 on our dept. is for officers  after that the numbers really dont matter. I noticed on other departments it may be different how does it work on yours? I am 102.

True.

Just noticed the second topic.
My BS flag is going out. How can you be asst. chief if you are new and have zero experience? If you want to be a fraud in some other field, IDGAS. But when you falsify experience and training in this buisiness, you put lives at stake. There are 2 things I can't stand. Liars and theives. That is a quick way to lose trust in your dept. and its hard to get back when you lose it.
I second this.
I feel like we're in a picture called "Groundhog Day!"
the sad part is that the other post is identical to this one for the most part
Jack when you find a site like that let me know will you?
I was just thinking of this movie the other day.
Infinity. I'm the best, I win!!!
at cvfd all of our trucks are 33 so in the long run i guess that means that we engine company 33..... so our unit numbers start at 3301 3306 are for officers 3307 to what ever are for firefighters
Actually, you're tied with me. Mine is a Moebius strip. It has the same concept as infinity, but with a visual representation that can be more easily understood, but which takes up more air time when being transmitted by radio.
