A bit afraid to ask this but here it goes

Volunteering for wildfires is a bad idea or a good idea due to the safety risks that are presented what are some tasks that firefighters would appreciate to help out with the wildland fires whether it be rehab or shoveling some dirt. Providing evacuation info to civilians near the fire or even helping the firefighters themselves if with the proper training.

Where should be the volunteers during these fires and is it too dangerous for us to be there in the first place.
