NORMAL, Ill. — A fire swept through the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity house near Illinois State University
The blaze gutted the two-story building early Wednesday, but none of the 30 fraternity brothers who lived there were hurt.
Assistant Fire Chief John Grussing says flames were coming out of the building's roof when firefighters arrived at the scene. Grussing tells The (Bloomington) Pantagraph that it took about an hour to put out the fire but the building was a total loss.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
