(AP) SIOUX CITY, Iowa

Fire has damaged another historic building in Sioux City. The fire late Saturday damaged a building that once housed the Florence Crittenton Home, a home for poor children and later offered maternity care and adoption service.

The building, which dates back to 1906, was vacant for about 20 years. The Crittenton Center, which still owns the building, had hoped to covert it into low-income housing.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A fire on June 14 destroyed a historic warehouse in downtown Sioux City. Fire investigators say that fire is suspicious. No arrests have been made.
