Fire Breaks Out At Miami International Fuel Storage Site
MIAMI - Firefighters extinguished a fire early Thursday that broke out in an area where fuel is kept at the Miami International Airport.

The fire was reported around 11 p.m. Wednesday and was brought under control around 1 a.m. Thursday, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue spokesman Capt. Eric Baum said. There were no injuries, he said.
"It was a potentially disastrous fire," Baum said.
Inspectors and technicians early Thursday were trying to determine what caused the fire and where it began. Baum said he did not know how many fuel tanks were involved in the fire.
The fire wasn't near any runways or terminals at the airport. Only one flight was delayed for about 45 minutes because of the fire, which happened at a time when there are few flights, airport spokesman Greg Chin said.
But there may be flight delays at the airport Thursday as workers try to restore normal fueling operations, Chin said. Fueling capacity is expected to be at 40 percent for morning flights.

Impressive footage. There have been more than 68 firefighter LODD fighting petroleum storage tank fires world wide.
Storage Tank Emergencies by Red Hat Publishing is not a fun read but I would still highly recommend the book if you have flammable and combustible liquid storage tanks in your area.
