a field training officer program! That depends on your location, and local government requirements.

I could create one but it would be for my area and may not be suitable for yours.

Generally many of your senior personnel handle much of the training that is not mandated by the state or counties in which you reside.

If you want to create a training officer program the things you would need to consider are:

Do you have personnel who have the correct patience and demeanor required to be proficient instructors?

Can your candidate for training officer make efficient use of others specialized knowledge as training tools?

Do they have the skills needed to provide quality training or be proficient to properly research them?

the final thing to consider is that those you choose as training officers absolutely must keep up on their own certifications and they must be kept up to date with NO lapse in time absolutely no exception!

and as coordinator for your training officers its your responsibility to make sure they stay current,

as safety officer I take a great interest in training and as a former instructor in the navy I was well versed in the requirements needed to be an instructor.
