FDNY Rescue 1:

My extended family took a trip to Manhattan on June 25,2011 and we ended up at your quarters with three generations of firefighters me, my father in law (former vol. chief and current paid FF), and my 14 year old daughter (who just became a junior in Sept 2010). My father in law has been a fan of FDNY for at least the 17 years or so that I have known him and this was his first trip to the city. My daughter was able to see the tools and equipment that you guys use and compare it to our own equipment. To say that you guys made the trip worth it for them would be the  understatement of at least this decade. Just wanted to personally say THANK YOU.

On thursday June 30th I was chaining down a load on South Broad St. near Keaton (i believe) when you guys came around the corner. Didn't mean to be in your way, but my daughter was with me and managed to add a picture of your engine to her collection. So thank you to you guys too.
