For those that have gone, where are some descent places to eat that don't cost an arm and a leg close to the venue?
How about free grub or events?
Best bars with some nightlife?
I will be there sometime Tuesday afternoon and then staying until late saturday afternoon.
I will be teaching my class "Engine Company Emergencies" on wed during the first classroom sessions
Champs Sports Bar
Champions Sports Bar (Yes Different)
Steak and Shake
Hooters
Are all good places to eat for decent price. If you do not mind paying a little more then Rock Bottom Brewery, St. Elmos are also great.
If you have never been then you have to go to Ike and Jonsies and Claddugh Irish Pub (Prob Spelled that wrong) They are Indy staples. Also Howl at the Moon, and Wild Beaver Saloon are well worth your time.
On wed there will be the Fools Brotherhood Bash in front of Ike and Jonsies, and Fri is the Indy IAFF party at the Union Hall. There is also the Stop Drop and Rock and Roll party spnsored by the NFFF.
Bottom line the town is full of fireman and there is a TON of stuff to do, even the bar in my hotel last year was hopping.
Cool Robert maybe I'll be able to stop and say HI to you and FETC and meet some other Brothers from FF Nation
