A Bonham Fire Department Ambulance collided with a car at a rural intersection, killing all three people inside the sedan on Christmas day. According to the cops, the ambulance driver failed to see the Chevrolet Malibu before turning onto U.S. Highway 69. The car slammed into the ambulance, sending both vehicles off the road and leaving the ambulance on its side in a ditch. Killed were civilians Pamela Kay Touart, 59, and her twin sons, Cameron Wayne Boudreau and Kipp Leonard Boudreau, both 29. The 2 Firemedics in the ambulance were taken to a hospital and later released. Bonham Fire Chief Bill Palya says it did not appear the family wore seat belts. The ambulance was headed back to its station at the time of the accident.
Leonard is located about 50 miles north of Dallas.
