NEW CUMBERLAND, W.Va. - An explosion has rocked a plant in West Virginia's Northern Panhandle.
WTOV of Steubenville, Ohio, reports that two people are missing and others are injured at the factory in New Cumberland.
Ken Kline, chief financial officer for AL Solutions, confirms a blast happened just before 1:30 p.m. at the Hancock County plant, but he won't comment on injuries.
He says the company is trying to determine the extent of the damage and take care of its employees.
AL Solutions was formerly called Jamegy Inc. It develops additives for the aluminum industry.
In 2006, an explosion there killed a worker in the a production building.
Kline says the blast happened in the main production building. The cause is unclear.
AL Solutions employs about 25 people.
