LAS VEGAS - A fire spokeswoman says an elderly woman escaped injury in a two-alarm fire that damaged a home in a residential neighborhood several miles southwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

Clark County spokeswoman Jennifer Knight said there was no immediate estimate of damage to the two-story home after the fire about 3 p.m. Thursday at the house southwest of Hacienda Avenue and Buffalo Drive.

Knight says the cause of the fire isn't known yet.
