NORCROSS, Ga. - Fire investigators in Gwinnett County are trying to figure out what sparked an apartment fire Thursday night.

It happened just before 10:00 p.m. at an apartment on Noble Forest Drive in Norcross.

Fire offficials say the fire started in the sun room. An occupant tried to put out the blaze with a portable fire extinguisher and a bucket of water, but it didn't work.

Two adults and their four children were able to get out in time, but their apartment and five others are damaged.

Firefighters say a firewall kept the fire from spreading to the rest of the building.
