Recently Our School Teams Have Been Doing Really Good In Sports. And For The Last 20 Years Whenever A Team Has Won A Big Game Like A Sectional Championship Or Regional We Escort Them Into Town Via Firetrucks. Dose Your Fire Department Do It?

Our department did one year and as a matter of fact one of our members help build them a float for the next day. Brian is a great advocate for the kids. Especially when they accomplish something like winning a Sectional Championship. This was a big deal for our kids. We hadn't won a Championship for a long time. It was great and the kids were just overwhelmed and were very grateful.
Yea the kids love it .
Yea the kids love it normaly the buss is all decked out with paint and stuff with there namesd and we go screamin into town and we live in a small community so normaly all the people come outside or gather at our 4 corners and all celebrate its good for the kids and it gets the firemens adrenlin going too.
Yep happens all the time.. The police dept and the state boys also get involve.. People line the streets to greet the team.. I think it is great...
Yes we do it a lot for the kids, they love it.
Yes we do its a town thing when they took states last year you thought the whole town was burning down lol

We Just Did It This Past Saturday For The Girls Soccer Team And This Next Saturday Chances Our Looking Good Too. But Lets Try Not To Get To Cocky! =P I Remember When We Won States For Boys Soccer And Boys Basketball We Had One With 10 trucks and ambulance just howlin down the main street it was crazy in our town!
But It Shows That We Our Active In Our Community
Our department just did that for our football team's winning of the sectional championship. Our Fire and Police departments both escorted the buses back into the village, along with many happy parents, friends and fans. I remember when I played for a team that had that honor when we won the sectional and regional championships, and it being one of the greatest feelings in the world. It really makes it set in, when you're that young, that it's not just about you and the team. It shows that you're representing your community and that there are many people out there that are proud of your accomplishments. It's also cool being 18 years old and having Police units and Fire trucks bringing you back to the school with lights and sirens. I know that there are many out there that will disagree with the lights and sirens, but we don't go screaming through the village, we keep it at the speed limit if not below. We just add some brightness and noise.

Were In Edmeston NY And Our Girls Soccer Team Just Won Regionals And It Was A Late Game They Ended Up Comeing Into Town At 11PM A Little Sirens And Air Horns. But I Think We Got 1 Complain Cuz It Woke There Children Up Hello People Its A Saturday Night! And To Add It On You Should Be Aware That A Team Might Be Coming Into Town And Its Not Like It Was Full Sirens And Air Horns.
But Will Continue To Do It So Its All Good....
Fire department, EMS, Police and Sheriff's...we all escort them out of town and into town. Sports are a BIG deal here in west Texas. Watch "Friday Night Lights", tells it like it is.
