Does a DUI affect Paramedic job?

A friend of mine got a DUI (it really wasn't me!) and wants to attend medic school with me. I forgot about his DUI and I dont want him to waste his money/time in Medic school if he wont get a job because of his DUI. Does anyone know anything about a DUI affecting getting hired for Medic? I echo what Ralph wrote. Many insurers will not allow employers to hire anyone with a serious (DUI included) offense on their record. An MVR will reveal the DUI every time. He should find a career in which he will not be asked to drive.

I agree with you. Some apps when requesting info state "have you ever?" while other may state a specific time range such as "withing the past _ years?". But it is good to go get the training.
