DENVER - A fire at a southeast Denver apartment building forced about 50 residents to evacuate.

The Denver Post reports that the blaze started in a second-floor apartment of the three-story Building 6 at Churchill Downs at Hunters Run Sunday afternoon.

There were no reports of injuries. The fire took about an hour to bring under control.

The Red Cross set up an emergency shelter at a nearby church for evacuees. It wasn't clear how long they would have to remain outside their homes.
