CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. (AP) -- A D.C. firefighter who allegedly shot three adults in a domestic dispute before killing himself had been banned from fire department property after apparently threatening his co-workers.
Court records obtained by WTOP Radio show that a co-worker sought a protective order against Dante Paire in January after he had apparently threatened to shoot his co-workers.
Police say 22-year-old Paire was involved in a domestic dispute with a 25-year-old woman on Wednesday in Capitol Heights. Investigators say he shot the woman and two older adults, but all three are expected to survive. Paire died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Court records show fellow D.C. firefighter Jessica Wimbush obtained a temporary restraining order against Paire in 2007. Officials wouldn't confirm that Wimbush was the woman Paire shot on Wednesday.
