A construction crane has been used to help rescue a teenager who became pinned beneath an overturned pickup truck.

The Ottawa County sheriff's office says the pickup flipped over Wednesday morning at an intersection in Georgetown Township, about 10 miles west-southwest of Grand Rapids.

Two 17-year-old boys from Grandville were in the pickup and the passenger became pinned. Both are in serious condition at Spectrum Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Deputies at the seen saw a passing truck carrying a crane. The stopped the truck and asked for some help.

The crane was attached to the truck to secure it as the Georgetown Fire Department deployed rescue air bags to lift it from the victim.
