Christchurch has been hit with another quake.

Unlike last years quake, this one has taken 65 lives and this figure is expected to rise. Urban rescue teams and paramedics being sent from Auckland and other major cities. Help also coming from Australia. Offers of help from the UK and Japan have also been received.

Thankyou for all your support and good wishes. It is very welcome and much appreciated by all. It appears that the death toll will rise significantly (now 145), with as many as 200 still missing. We now have many of the overseas teams carrying out rescue and recovery operations alongside our own teams. Great to see.
