Having just got home from a deployment to the devastated city of Christchurch New Zealand, many brothers and sisters still there, death toll is still raising, people still missing in the rubble and New Zealand under a National State of Emergency.

I just wanted to say thank you to the international USAR teams from America, Australia, Singapore, Japan, China, Taiwan and the UK.

To have so many people from so far away willing to come to a little country like New Zealand and risk their lives to help out is very very humbling.

I just wanted to take a minute to thank them all, their families who have to go without them and the Countries that support them .......... words cannot express our thanks.

I think that i can speak for most by saying that we are more than happy to help out our brothers and sisters in others countries no matter how big or small they may be, when they need our assistance we will respond.
Thanks Andrew. I know that goes without saying, but after seeing the devastation down there I needed to say thank you.

There was no question of should we go when we got notified ....... it was how quickly can we get there.

Alot of great people down there helping.
Rescue operations have now transitioned into recovery, there is still hope of a miracle rescue. 600 USAR workers on site, 200+ missing which may include some of the dead. Death toll sits at 161 people.

Have recharged the battery, spent some quality time with the family, now waiting for the call back to Christchurch. We will not give up until everyone is accounted for ........ a long road ahead.
