Simple question. How does everyone wear (or not wear) their chin strap on their helmet?

For example, I keep mine buckled under my chin, but very loose. I try to leave a tab sticking out so I can tighten it with a gloved hand.

Not to sound like a girl and all even tho i am lol... I keep mine tight... cause my helmet always wants to shift if i dont and my hair does not help it... even with a hood it slips around... I wish i could be cool and not need it all the time :)
Yup - so it won't ever fall off if something unexpected hits you in the head.

If the helmet is on - it is securely on at all times.
Mine is always strapped on the back side of the ratchet...I keep it loose so when I get out of the rig I can pull it forward and its on holding tight....Never wear my helmet with the strap not on my chin...its there for a reason..
pj
I definitely wear mine. Its there for a reason.
Keep it snapped and all the way loose under my chin so then i throw in my mask and hood all I have to do is grab and pull and it tightens right up.
Imagine that Ben, a chinstrap that goes on your chin . . . what will they think of next. When I went through Fire School ( a long time ago ), we were shown and made to wear PPE properly or we got knocked down on it . . . and it cost us when we messed up! We learned fast and did it right after that !!
