CAPE MAY, N.J. - The Cape May County Herald has reported that Cape May Fire Department Lieutenant Andy Boyt died while returning from a gymnasium on Monday, October 3.

According to the Herald, the Middle Township Police stated that emergency responders found a passenger in Boyt's car performing CPR on him when they arrived. He was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center.

The Herald also reports that Lieutenant Boyt was a firefighter/EMT for more than 17 years according to his profile on FirefighterNation.com
