PRINCETON, B.C. - Mounties in southern B.C. are searching for someone with a burning desire for a fire truck.

RCMP in the community of Princeton, about 280 kilometres east of Vancouver, say the truck was stolen from the East Gate area, on the east side of Manning Provincial Park.

They say the white 97 Ford vanished over the weekend.

It will be hard to miss because it has red emergency lights on its roof and East Gate Fire Department painted on its doors.

It is also packed with a 500 gallon water tank, metal lock boxes and other fire fighting equipment.

The truck belongs to the East Gate Fire Protection Society and police hope anyone with information about the valuable vehicle will come forward. (CIGV)
