Calling UK Firefighters!

Hey guys, im a firefighter from Wisconsin in the U.S. and im currently in college/university, but this coming fall semester I will be studying in Alnwick England and I’d love to get the opportunity to spend time with UK departments. The program runs to chirstmas time and in that time I will be all over your country, including a good 2 weeks in London, if any of your departments would be welcoming to a US firefighter looking to learn from you guys let me know, thanks!

You can try contacting the London Fire Brigade press and publicity department by emial press@london-fire.gov.uk.

I'm sure that you would be welcomed and if you get the chance try and get a tour of the training school and museum. Well worth the visit.

Unfortunately I've been retired so long that all my contacts with a bit of sway are also out to grass. However, I'm sure the guys in the press office will help.

Another though, if you know your itinery, google each place for fire brigades. That will almost certainly give you the County Brigades web site and you can contact them from there.
Alnwick, for instance, is Northumberland Fire & Rescue Service.http://www.northumberland.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=1304
