Hello Everyone! My name is Josh Ambrose I am from Upstate NY in a a area that is between Syracuse NY and Albany NY. I am from a community we call Central NY. Made up of many smaller departments with average call volume between 600 and 800 calls a year with my department being the busiest at 1600 calls a year.

Recently my long time Paramedic work partner and fellow brother firefighter Anthony Pagliaro was given the bad news at the age of 32 that he had stage 3 prostate cancer. Anthony is the Paramedic Supervisor at Kunkel Ambulance, Schuyler Fire Department firefighter, and Director of EMS for Schuyler Ambulance. Tony A.K.A "Pags" is a very well known and respected paramedic in the area. Pags has 3 children all below the age of 10. In Feb when we got the news he had cancer he underwent a surgery to remove the cancer. They found the cancer had spread to most of the lymphnods in his colon. The doctors had to take out his entire colon. Pags now faces 4 months of very extensive and harsh Cemotheropay.

When I asked Pag's what gives him his strength he said knowing that everyone around him is fighting with him IE; shaving our heads, making wrist bands, having fundraisers. The strength of everyone around him is making Pags wanna fight more and more.

I am asking for your help " The brotherhood" from around the United States to join in our fight. Pag's is a patch collector for fire departments. To show that your department is going to "FIGHT" Pag's fight with him if you can send your deparment patch with a letter showing your support for Pag's during his road to a cure! I plan on getting a large amount of these patches and presenting them to him during one of his rounds of Chemo to get his mind in a happy place.

So brother firefighters help out a fellow brother and join in this fight with Pag's. You can send patches with a letter or card to the following address

Thank you

This post is dated a couple years ago. Any updates?

This forum / messageboard is dead. Few are still trying. So is Firehouse.com's forum. Its sad.

Mike, is this site basically dead completely?

I don't think its 100% dead, but there is hardly any activity. I'd love to see a revival, but sadly I don't think the population is here anymore. The potential is though!
